- Campus Delivery Spots: Selected campus spots (e.g., Saraswati Hostel, South Campus Canteen, Block A1, Faculty Quarters) and specific room/floor notes.
- Order & Transaction History: Restaurant selections, ordered food items, bill totals, payment methods (Cash on Delivery or Razorpay transaction IDs).
- Device & Usage Data: Browser type, IP address, device notifications token (for live push notifications on order updates).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information strictly to fulfill your food orders and improve your experience:
- Processing and dispatching your orders directly to campus restaurants and delivery partners.
- Sending real-time order status updates via web push notifications and SMS/email alerts.
- Enabling assigned delivery partners to contact you upon arrival at your designated campus spot.
- Preventing fraud, resolving order issues, and offering student customer support.
3. Payment Security & Third-Party Processing
We prioritize financial security for all campus transactions:
- Razorpay Integration: Online card, UPI, and net banking payments are securely handled by Razorpay adhering to PCI-DSS standards. Hungry Owl does never store your credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): For cash payments, delivery partners collect exact order totals upon handing over your food.
4. Information Sharing & Campus Partners
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share necessary operational details with:
- Partner Restaurants: Food item lists, special culinary requests, and order numbers.
- Assigned Delivery Partners: Customer name, phone number, and campus drop-off location to complete physical deliveries.
